Twinning is Back!
More than 60 members of the Norwich and Norfolk twinning associations joined together on Sunday evening for a collaborative event organised by the Koblenz association.
Participants from the Koblenz, Rouen and Novi Sad groups, with guests from the civic society, enjoyed the “joint” experience - a voyage together on the Horning based Southern Comfort Mississippi river boat.
During the journey past St Benet’s Abbey to South Walsham Broad and back. a delicious buffet was served, and the travellers pitted their wits against a quiz compiled by event organiser Sandra Sheppard from the Koblenz association.
While benefitting from lovely views and unbroken sunshine, passengers took advantage of the opportunity to mix, share stories, and plan for the future.
After the dark days of the pandemic, and despite Brexit difficulties, Sunday’s trip demonstrated that twinning is alive and well and living in Norfolk!
