A few comments from “fellow travellers”:-
Loved the social- the meal on the first night- meeting the Koblenz members-

Koblenz art gallery was incredible.

A well thought out programme with a good balance of organised activities and time to spend on our own.

Highlights of the trip were the Festspiel in Winningen and the day spent in Trier. a wonderful taster- cathedral so impressive.

There was a great camaraderie amongst the group, lots of laughs!

Most impressive was the friendship and mutual support amongst the group and how quickly that was established.
My favourite day was the trip to Trier which combined the group activity of travelling together with the opportunity of individual exploring.

Fabulous " Festspiel. " - the open air play by local residents of
Winningen, with singing, music and local folklore dance group in
traditional costume. Beautifully timed to perfection to coincide with
the start of a deluge that left us all drenched to the bone!
A super evening meal. Then fantastic fireworks.!

In Winningen we missed the tractor
All because of the rainy factor.
But the play we saw was Oh! so good
Until we had a bit of Noah's Flood!
The food schmekt gut
The wine was fine
A big Hoorah for the beautiful Mosel and Rhine.

We really all had a wonderful trip
Renewing the bond of our special friendship
The villages of the Moselle and the Rhine
Looking so pretty and making fine wines.
The play was fun and full of mirth
Till the heavens opened with a cloudburst!
We all got soaked right down to the skin
And someone got lost in Winningen!

What I enjoyed most on the trip was the visit to Winningen.
In the morning we met the " Weinhexe" at a wine tasting and saw her
again several times in the course of the day in various functions and
guises.

A wonderful trip renewing and firming old friendships.

Mosel and Rhein so different. Majestic , busy Rhine and calm, lovely Mosel.
We had a long, enjoyable Rhine boat trip from Rudesheim taking in the
Interesting scenery.
Equally lovely, our drive along the Mosel from Trier back to Koblenz.
an unforgettable holiday.

In the good hands of our friendly coach driver Paul, we went to Rudesheim. In this small town we experienced many German delights in a leisurely way.
We came back on the river cruiser " Goethe" which gave us wonderful views of the Rhine, the valley, the villages and castles.
On board some of us enjoyed an original Rudesheimer Kaffee with Asbach !

TRIER--- the Roman bits & the Lindt shop!
 RUDESHEIM-- the Mechanical Museum.

Everything about the trip was wonderful. Everything was very well organised
with a lovely, friendly and helpful atmosphere.
